WaxoKart in Clinical Context
WaxoKart is Earkart's cerumenolytic ear drop, formulated with paradichlorobenzene 2% w/v, benzocaine 2.7% w/v, chlorbutol 5% w/v and turpentine oil 15% w/v in an oily base containing olive oil. It is positioned for softening hardened earwax (cerumen) and facilitating its removal as part of physician-directed ear care.
Cerumen is a normal, protective secretion of the ear canal. In some individuals, however, wax accumulates and hardens, which can cause a sensation of blockage, discomfort or reduced hearing. Impacted cerumen is one of the most common reasons for ENT consultation, and its management typically involves softening the wax before gentle removal — a process that should be assessed and supervised by a healthcare professional.
WaxoKart's label is explicit that the product is to be used under medical advice only. Ear symptoms can have many causes, and whether drops should be instilled into an ear with an undiagnosed condition — for example, a perforated eardrum or an active infection — is a clinical judgement no product page should replace. Earkart accordingly presents WaxoKart as product information for doctors, chemists and distribution partners, not as a self-treatment guide.
As the dedicated ear-care entry in Earkart's ENT portfolio, WaxoKart complements the division's nasal and allergy range and its tinnitus-focused TinnoKart capsules. It is manufactured at a WHO-GMP certified facility, with label-driven handling guidance: the drops are for external use only, should be used within one month of opening, and should not be stored below 3°C as this may cause precipitation of the product.
