WaxoKart in Clinical Context

WaxoKart is Earkart's cerumenolytic ear drop, formulated with Paradichlorobenzene 2% w/v, Benzocaine 2.7% w/v, Chlorbutol 5% w/v and Turpentine oil 15% w/v in an oily base containing olive oil. It is positioned for softening hardened earwax (cerumen) and facilitating its removal as part of physician-directed ear care.

Cerumen is a normal, protective secretion of the ear canal. In some individuals, however, wax accumulates and hardens, which can cause a sensation of blockage, discomfort or reduced hearing. Impacted cerumen is one of the most common reasons for ENT consultation, and its management typically involves softening the wax before gentle removal — a process that should be assessed and supervised by a healthcare professional.
